(April 7, 2026 – Boston, MA) Fletcher Tilton Attorneys Adam Ponte, Elisabeth Finn and Anthony Moroso successfully defend a complex commercial eviction matter pending before the Boston Municipal Court, Central Division, after concluding a three-day bench trial. The firm’s client, a well-known Boston restauranteur, owns and operates The Pine Bar, which is the only full liquor establishment within the Boston Public Market, located in the heart of Downtown Boston. The Market alleged that The Pine Bar failed to furnish mandatory financial records during the term of the occupancy; and as a result, attempted to halt all bar operations and seek to evict the business. The Court disagreed with the Market and found that The Pine Bar did not commit any material breach of the parties’ agreements. Further, the Court held that the Market lulled The Pine Bar into believing it was not required to deliver certain financial records for a period of three years, and that the bar did not commit any intentional breach. Ultimately, the Court ruled in favor of the firm’s client, entering a decision that The Pine Bar shall remain in possession of the subject premises.
