Mark A. Kablack is Of Counsel with Fletcher Tilton, where he brings more than three decades of experience in real estate, land use, and environmental law. He advises clients on all aspects of real estate development, municipal permitting and regulation, zoning, and land use planning. Prior to joining Fletcher Tilton, Mr. Kablack served as principal of his own firm and was formerly an associate at Palmer & Dodge in Boston and a partner at Seegel, Lipshutz & Wilchins, P.C. in Wellesley. Before entering private practice, he worked as a municipal land use planner in East Hampton, New York. Mr. Kablack earned his J.D., cum laude, from Boston College Law School and his B.S. from Cornell University.
Mr. Kablack has been a long-standing member of the Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Massachusetts (HBRAM), where he currently sits on its Board of Directors. He served for several years as the chairman of the HBRAM Government Affairs Committee, and is the former General Counsel to the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston (BRAGB). Mr. Kablack is also a standing member of the Real Estate Bar Association and the Boston Bar Association. He is the former co-Chair of the BBA Land Use and Development Committee, 2013-2015.
Mr. Kablack has received numerous awards in connection with his service to the home building industry, including the prestigious 2008 Member of the Year Award from HBRAM. Mr. Kablack is a frequent lecturer on real estate matters affecting the development industry. He is a regular contributor to Bay State Builder, a quarterly trade publication, and Builder Architect Magazine, a monthly trade journal.
Mr. Kablack is a former member of the Board of Trustees of Longfellow’s Wayside Inn, a nationally significant Massachusetts Historic Landmark-the oldest Inn still operating in the United States located in Sudbury, MA. He is also the former Chair of the Town of Sudbury Zoning Board of Appeals, and the former Chair of the Town of Sudbury Community Preservation Committee.
