Significant Awards and Achievements
- Successfully obtained a $50,000 conservation land tax credit from The Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The underlying work required a grant of a restriction for conservation purposes to the town on 4.0 acres of land. It required the understanding and compliance with the myriad of requirements of the Department of Revenue, the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs and the Conservation Commission for the town. She effectively brought all of the moving pieces together to record the restriction and obtain the tax credit for the client when the outcome was not guaranteed.
- Negotiated on behalf of a client to clear the way for a sale of property clouded by a possible right of first refusal of the town under M.G.L. Chapter 61A. She effectively convinced the Board of Assessors of the town that it was not entitled to exercise a right to purchase the property under a potential trigger of a right of first refusal. This allowed the client to proceed with the timely sale of the property where the alternative route would have been costly with no guaranteed result.
