WORCESTER, MA – On April 22, 2025, Fletcher Tilton PC opened its doors to students from Shrewsbury High School as part of the school’s Job Shadow Day program. The event provided students with valuable insights into the legal profession and the various career paths available within a law firm.

During the three-hour session, students participated in two engaging panel discussions with attorneys at different stages of their careers. The first panel, “Career Path Journeys,” featured Adam Baldarelli, Esq., Nisha Koshy, Esq., and Matthew Eckel, Esq., who shared their unique educational and professional paths to law.

A second panel focused on career-life balance, with Kelly Akana, Esq., and Jesse Colman offering perspectives on maintaining professional excellence while nurturing personal well-being. Colman, himself a Shrewsbury High School graduate, added a special touch to the event by playing piano for the students, demonstrating that attorneys can pursue diverse interests outside their legal careers.

“We believe in fostering the next generation of legal professionals by providing authentic glimpses into the profession,” said Todd Brodeur, President at Fletcher Tilton. “These students represent our future, and we’re committed to helping them explore potential career paths.”

Throughout the morning, students toured the firm’s offices and had opportunities to meet with various attorneys throughout the firm, including Joseph Bartulis, Warner Fletcher, and Fred Misilo. These informal interactions allowed students to ask questions about different legal specialties and gain practical advice about pursuing careers in law.

The Job Shadow Day is part of Shrewsbury High School’s broader career exploration initiative, which aims to provide students with real-world experiences during their April vacation. Fletcher Tilton’s participation reflects the firm’s commitment to community engagement and professional development.

Fletcher Tilton PC, with offices throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island, is one of the oldest law firms in the country, combining centuries of legal experience with innovative approaches to meeting client needs.
