Fletcher Tilton Attorney Anne Grenier is set to have a busy spring season participating in several disability advocacy and education events across Massachusetts. These appearances highlight her expertise in legal matters affecting individuals with disabilities and their families.

SEPAC Workshop on Transition Fair

Grenier will be attending the SEPAC Workshop focused on the Transition Fair on Tuesday, March 18, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at Worcester Technical High School. This event aims to provide valuable resources for families navigating educational transitions for students with special needs.

Profound Autism Summit

In April, Grenier will serve as a panelist at the Profound Autism Summit, a two-day conference on April 10 & 11, at the Boston Sheraton bringing together leaders from research, medicine, treatment, advocacy, and education sectors. She will participate in the “Legal Considerations Caring for an Adult With Profound Autism” panel on April 10, 2025, from 5:00 to 5:50 PM.

During this panel, Grenier will discuss alternatives to guardianship, factors to consider before petitioning for guardianship or conservatorship, and the distinctions between limited and expanded guardianships. She will also cover the roles, responsibilities, and legal duties of guardians and conservators. Joining her on the panel will be Meredith Greene of Day Pitney and Joan McGrath.

The summit specifically addresses the needs of individuals with Profound Autism, a classification first proposed by The Lancet Commission in December 2021 to describe autistic individuals with significant intellectual and communication challenges requiring 24/7 support.

MDSC 41st Annual Conference

The Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress (MDSC) will hold its 41st Annual Conference on March 29, 2025, at the DCU Center in Worcester with the theme “ON MY WAY!” This major event brings together over 500 participants from across New England, including self-advocates with Down syndrome, family members, healthcare professionals, and educators.

LIFE Family Conference

Grenier will also be participating in the LIFE Family Conference, scheduled for April 25 – 27, 2025 att he Margaritaville Resort Cape Cod. This weekend event includes the Lovin’ LIFE 5K on Saturday morning, April 26, followed by an evening celebration featuring dinner, dancing, and a silent auction. The conference also includes a special presentation on Sunday morning about proposed changes to support agreements and fee increases.

Grenier’s participation in these diverse events underscores her commitment to disability advocacy and her expertise in helping families navigate the complex legal landscape surrounding disability services and support.
