Joseph T. Bartulis, Jr. is an Officer of the firm and is Chairperson of the Labor and Employment Law Practice Group at Fletcher Tilton PC. He is also a member of the Business & Corporate Law, and Education and Higher Education Law Practice Groups.
Attorney Bartulis advises private and public sector employers on all aspects of workplace law; and counsels school departments and institutions of higher learning on labor and education law. A skilled attorney and successful negotiator for his clients, Bartulis delivers expert representation and sound resolution involving complex legal matters facing these sectors today.
Attorney Bartulis regularly advises clients on wage and hour issues, statutory compliance, documenting employee performance, discipline and discharge of employees, as well as the prevention, investigation and defense of discrimination claims. Attorney Bartulis drafts and negotiates employment contracts as well as non-competition/non-solicitation/non-disclosure agreements and severance agreements. He proactively counsels employers on employee relations matters; and defends employers in employment-based litigation and hearings before various state and federal administrative agencies.
Mr. Bartulis assists management during union organizational campaigns and unit determinations and he represents management in collective bargaining, mediations, arbitrations and unfair labor practice charge cases.
Within the Education and Higher Education Law practice group at Fletcher Tilton, Attorney Bartulis represents and counsels clients on a variety of matters including: School policies, student discipline, teacher discipline, education laws, labor relations, and collective bargaining.
