Jess D. Oyer

Jess D. Oyer is an associate attorney who concentrates his practice in complex commercial litigation. Mr. Oyer regularly represents businesses and individuals through all phases of civil litigation from pre-suit case analysis through appeal. Mr. Oyer has significant experience in commercial contract litigation, construction and land use litigation, labor and employment litigation, and appellate advocacy. Mr. Oyer has additional experience representing businesses in government investigations, including investigations by the Office of the MA Attorney General concerning alleged violations of Massachusetts wage and hour regulations. Mr. Oyer regularly represents clients in proceedings before Massachusetts and federal trial courts, the MA Appeals Court, the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, and various town and municipal administrative boards.
Resident in our Worcester and Boston offices, Mr. Oyer is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the State of New York, and the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. He earned his B.A. from Colgate University in 2004, after which he spent several years working in federal contract management. He went on to earn his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School in 2011. After graduating law school, Mr. Oyer served as a judicial law clerk in the U.S. Virgin Islands before working for a national litigation firm located in Washington, D.C. Mr. Oyer returned to his home state of Massachusetts and joined Fletcher Tilton in 2016.
