Eugene P. O'Donnell, Jr.
Eugene P. O’Donnell, Jr. is an Officer in the Firm’s Litigation Group and is Domestic Relations Practice Chair. Gene focuses his practice on domestic relations and has extensive experience in the settlement and trial of custody, visitation, child support, and alimony matters. Gene is also appointed by judges of the Probate and Family Courts to act as a discovery master, real estate commissioner, receiver, trustee, guardian and receiver.
Gene is the past President of the Worcester County Bar Association and served as Administrator of the Association’s Probate and Family Court Conciliation Program. Gene was among a panel of ten attorneys selected from throughout Massachusetts to recommend candidates to the United States Senate for the United States District Court Judgeships in Worcester and Springfield. He is a former member of the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers Hearing Committee and previously served as a Special Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Gene frequently lectures and moderates at continuing legal education programs focusing on a wide range of family law issues. He is also a member of the Senior Partners for Justice and is actively involved in the Discovering Justice Program that introduces children to the justice system by holding classes and mock trials. He has served as judge in numerous mock trials for high school and college-level programs.
Gene received his B.A. degree from Merrimack College and his J.D. from the Massachusetts
School of Law.
